Braiding, Tai Chi, and Calligraphy

Today was the last full day in China but it was far from boring. We had a jam packed schedule that started early in the morning.

Breakfast was a but more americanized than usual. We had hard boiled eggs, white bread with fruit jams, and the typical tlhot water / coke. I was hoping for tea. It was good but I’m ready for cereal at home.

We arrived at the Beijing Art House and opened with ceremony consisting all the people that made this trip possible. I made a thank you speech and it honestly made me sad that I was leaving.

We then experienced everything “China”. We started with making Chinese knot bracelets, then learned a little bit if Chinese calligraphy. We ended the day with learning TaiChi. I got the chance to perform in front of everyone. It’s definitely something I’ll try to keep up while home!
