798

Today’s lessons were good. We learned how to say time. Tomorrow we have a test, although I am not very nervous about it. After lunch we went to the art district 798. If I was going to live in Beijing, I would definitely want to live near there. The dozens of shops were all cool yet managed their own style in unique ways. While everything was way out of my price range, simply looking around was good enough for me. Everything from tea pots to typewriters could be found there. I found the contrast between traditional to steam punk modern to be especially interesting. While there, I shopped for a present for my mother. I ventured into a traditional fan shop after a while, and learned how to open a fan with one hand. Both the products and the staff were amazing. The staff was very polite and patient with me as I looked at practically every fan in the store. When I finished shopping, I browsed around. One store in particular did amazing game work with gold. I could hardly believe the detail of it all. If I ever had a chance to visit again I definitely would, especially if I had a larger budget.
