We had a day where we journeyed to the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art. What a massive place. Much of the art was very cool but initially we needed to find sources for our group projects. As we search around, we eventually found some art that would have been appropriate to be in the Summer Palace, as we were going to do our project on the Opium Wars and the Summer Palace was involved. After we found our sources, we decided to explore a good rest of the portion of the museum. Some of the painting were magnificent, and must have taken years to complete. One painting was of a room full of paintings that were extremely detailed. The sculptures were also impressive, as some were large and smooth, or tiny and detailed. The different kinds of art were of a huge variety. At the end of the day, my group worked together to finish our project on te Opium Wars.
