On the Monday of this previous week, we had our first Mandarin class and also went to visit the Bank of China’s building along the largest street in Beijing. Of course, the architecture was almost all symbolic and had elements of different parts of China. The symbol for Bank of China was similar to ancient currency used in China long ago. The lobby area Is one massive room where there is a cool looking pond with rocks that look like mountains and bamboo trees that do not normally grow in Beijing. It was a very interesting.
