I had a lot of fun today! The exchange students and the American students met up and went on a trip to Brooklyn. There we volunteered and walked in the annual International Day of Friendship festival. It was the third year since its creation, but I think the festival will carry on the tradition for years to come! All the students were assigned to carry a flag and we all had the chance to represent various countries all over the world. It was really great to participate in an event that celebrated all countries across the world. It made me realize that, while everyone has their own way of life that is unique to their culture and upbringing, we are all alike in very important ways!
