I’ve never played chess before and honestly I’m not particularly fond of board games, or puzzles or anything of that nature, but today we learned how to play a traditional Chinese game called “Go!” and it unravelled my competitive side. “Go” really challenged my typical approach on board games and it allowed for a variety of different ways to knock your opponent out of the race. I feel like I could have played this for HOURS and not become annoyed of it. I’m definitely ordering one online to play with my family!
We also had the opportunity to attend a live “Go” game with world champions and the cameras were going crazy in that room, however at one point I couldn’t really tell if the camera crew was more excited about having such important people playing go, or the fact that there was 10 Americans in the room, because the paparazzi was going nuts with all sorts of angles of us.
