On August 12th, we had a pretty exciting day! We got to watch a live GO championship. The two competitors were college ages students, who were fighting to win a $60k scholarship. We learned that the game “GO” is a very popular game in China, Japan, Korea, and even some parts of America. It is the Chinese version of chess. It requires very strategic thinking and reminds me almost of war planning. I thought it was very cool to learn about, and was even more excited when we got a chance to play with one another. I was up against Harry, who took the game just as seriously as I did. We could’ve played for hours!
