Today we visited the forbidden palace! It was gorgeous. All the roofs were yellow tile, to represent the emperor. The architecture was amazing! The best part of the day was seeing a Peking opera fight scene live, from the Monkey King. The Monkey King fought off three men at once using kung fu! The players taught us movements that the monkey king makes, and even how to flip and spin the monkey king’s staff. Later, we all got face paint in the style of the Peking opera. My face paint was in the style of a turtle.
