On July 14th the students attended classes at Pace University. The study topics included speech and debate, music and dance, food, and business.
Following lunch at the Pace Dining Hall the students went to Pier 2 at the Brooklyn Bridge Park. In addition to an amazing view of the city buildings, here there is a roller rink, jungle gym, swing set, soccer field, and basketball court. The students played and laugh with their American teachers. They even had fun pushing some of their teachers on the swing.
Suddenly on the bright, sunny day it started to pour! The wind was wild. Everyone ran under the pavilion to avoid getting soaked from the rain…well almost everyone. A few students laughed and enjoyed the rain, splashing and jumping in the puddles.
Just as quickly as the rain started, it ended, and the sun was back out and shining. For dinner the students had a Chic-fil-a picnic at the pier. It was a great day.
